Our team understands that as a pet owner you sometimes need additional resources to better understand your pet’s care and make the best choices for your pet. Below is a list of some of our trusted resources that we would like to share with you:
Choosing a new puppy – This is a nice starter guide of things that you should consider when you are thinking about getting a puppy.
Breeds of Dogs – A quick reference guide to many breeds of dogs, including photos and brief descriptions of breed characteristics
Cat Fanciers’ Association – lots of pictures, as well as information on cat breeds, cat care, upcoming cat shows and more.
Area Dog Parks – vaccinations should be up to date, including Rabies, Bordetella, Distemper, Leptospirosis and Lyme. Also current use of flea & tick and heartworm preventative is recommended. Keep your pet safe by having a microchip placed for easy identification.
Pet Finder – great resource for finding the perfect pet to adopt
Rainbow Bridge – anyone who has lost a pet should visit this wonderful site. It is a terrific tribute to our lost family members.
ASPCA Poison Control – American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals provides information on toxins and general care for animals
AVMA – American Veterinary Medical Association is a great starting point for learning about topics such as feline injection site sarcomas and the latest in veterinary medicine.
Behavior Problems – terrific resource for advice on a variety of behavoiral problems. If you want to learn more about feline house soiling, barking dogs, aggression and other behavior issues, check this one out!
Companion Animal Parasite Council – everything you need to know about pets and parasites.
Feline Diabetes – specialized information on pets struggling with this illness.
Heartworm Disease – get the facts on this disease and why we work so hard to prevent it.
MVMA – Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association provides information about local concerns and veterinary medicine.
Veterinary Partner – a searchable database of articles from veterinary professionals covering a variety of topics.
